State constitutional amendments (Palm Beach County votes)

Florida constitutional amendments need at least 60% yes statewide to pass, so these county numbers don't decide the outcome on their own. Statewide results are reported by the Florida Division of Elections. The Town-Crier reported that Amendment 3, which increases homestead property tax exemptions, was approved statewide.

  • Amendment 1 (Article III, Section 19): Yes 40.75% (218,538); No 59.25% (317,734)

Amendment 3 matters for local budgets. Wellington staff estimated it could cost the village about $5.3 million in its first year; see why Wellington held its tax rate, and our explainer on what Amendment 3 means for your tax bill.
